We changed the size of some TEXT using "fixed sized text" we then couldn't change the size using "Adjustable sized text".  In other words the text size wouldn't change with the other text sizing tool if we had used a different one to change it in the first place.  Does that make sense?
Yes it does make sense. A style setting in a font tag, or any tag, always takes precedence over an attribute setting (basic HTML rule). But, the secret here is that you should not count on the underlying code knowing what you want. There is a Remove Formatting button on the toolbar (page with a red X on it), it removes the font settings from the selected text, style and attribute, when you use it. You should never just change a font setting, remove (Unformat) it first, then set anew. If you don't you end up with the style setting AND attribute setting, and style wins.
