Hi,
I have resetted the admin password, as it was lost. Not that big deal; in the admin manual there was stated that I had to change the first line into admin=start and use then that credentials to logon. So far so good.
Now revealing edit wrx by pressing three times ESC works. I type in admin and a fake password and I am redirected thru a dialog box that I need to logon to the admin consol instead, and it opens that very page for me. Still so far so good. But now when I enter my admin as login and start as password, the system starts to load something and stalls, busy with nothing. In the left lower corner of my browser it says 'error on page'.
Can someone help me out?
If you need the URL, I would be happy to give it to you by a PM>

Admin must login from the Control Panel, not from the Login Prompt.
Double click the yellow bell in the lower left cornor of the browser where it says you have an error. Explorer will tell you WHAT the error is. Please post what the error says so we have some idea what the problem is.

Just at the moment you answer came in, I found out that when I logon to the admin tool by accessing wrx.cgi straight on, it opens in a single window -instead of within the frame I adressed it at first- and that it than works seamlessley. I appears that editwrx's admin tool can't cope with being run in a frame - in the controrarry to a normal userlogon.. :-)
Thanks anyhow.

| Correct, the admin login turns the Login Control Panel into the Admin Control Panel. The Ajax protocol that the admin login runs in addresses the _top window so it can not be in a frame.

| I'm having a problem with the admin login stalling, although it's not a frames issue. I have had trouble with this particular client's server before. I can only get it to work if I install an old version (6.04.....) I've tried installing from the installpoint - but it hangs. I've tried a fresh install from the full current zip. but can't login - the login hangs. I finally took the old files off another one of their hosting accounts and installed that, and it works. I then let the script check for updates and when I try to update - it hangs. Everything then indicates it has updated to the latest version, and the admin hangs again. I just put it back to 6.04.... until I can come up with an answer. Any idea what is going on here?

The stalling at login is an indication that your server is not allowing editwrx to connect with editwrx.com. If your server has a crippled IO::Sockets module editwrx can not complete the connection to see if there is an update available. The installpoint wouls also be unable to make the connection and would stall also.
Turn off auto updates in the Admin>Site Parameters and see if it quits stalling. If you can not login, change the $check_for_updates='1' to $check_for_updates='0' in /library/data/config.txt.
