Hi, I need a little assistance to install editwrx. I found the topic on how to install on a xampp setup. I updated to the latest version of xampp 1.6.7 which includes apache 2.2.9 and installed newest Perl 5.10.0 from xampp website. I changed the http.cnfg file and added cgi as a new file extension in windows as instructed. I don't have any virtual hosts, so i skipped that part.
Once all this was finished I can now run either script from the editwrx folder I placed in the root directory.
When I run the installer it creates ikons & library folders and wrx.cgi then gives me this error.
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Error message:
Premature end of script headers: installer.cgi
So I delete all this and unzip the editwrx.zip into the editwrx folder and run wrx.cgi.
I get a login screen , but when I enter the user : admin Psssword: start it freezes there with the hourglass.
Please help figure out what I need to correct.
Thanks very much. Hope to make editwrx a large part of my site.

Can anyone please help me to get this installed. I plan to buy, but wan't to make sure it will run on my system. I am running my own webserver using xampp and windows, so I have total access to anything I need to change. My main site is run with Joomla, but this is too complex for any community users. I love this wonderfull script, but need help to get it up and running.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
P.S. Is the Editwrx project still active? It's been over a day and no replys. :(

It sounds like there may be a problem writing to files.
1) Open the /library/data/users.txt file. It should contain only admin=start. If it does not, change the file to contain only admin=start.
2) Attempt to login at /exitwrx/wrx.cgi as admin. If it does not login, open /library/data/users.txt again. This time it should contain admin=cek/pAJNiDF66
If it did not rewite the word start to cek/pAJNiDF66 that gives us a clue what the problem might be

Thanks very much for your reply Keith.
I changed text as you instructed to admin=start and tried to login.
It still freezes at login screen. I opened users.txt again and it did change to
admin=cek/pAJNiDF66.
Could the absence of suExec cause this problem?

Thanks for your help Keith. It's working great now. For anyone running Xampp this is how to fix:
The Perl add-on package installs two copies of Errno.pm, one in xampp/perl/lib/ and one in xampp/perl/site/lib/.
On line 12 and 13, the one in xampp\perl\site\lib\ is looking for version 4 and appears to be an old module. The one in xampp\perl\lib\Errno.pm is looking for version 5 and appears to be the correct module.
Removing xampp\perl\site\lib\Errno.pm resolves the issue.
Hope this may help someone in the future.
Thanks again for your great support Keith.
